General Job Description

KEP a division of IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising crews, ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner, depending on day to day tasks.
  • Make sure all crews are in compliance of electrical codes.
  • Assist crews when needed in installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, relays, fuse boxes, and circuit-breaker panels in accordance with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Performs a variety of supported duties of the job, such as loading and unloading project materials and carrying the same to a particular work area at a job site, erecting scaffolding and ladders, holding materials, tools, and supplies, cleaning the work area and removing trash and debris.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures and safe work practices and proceed those safe practices to all on the job-site.

Specific Qualifications

  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
  • A minimum of year experience in the electrical contracting industry.
  • High school diploma, relevant vocational school training, or completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
  • 2-3 years preferred of residential electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • An exceptional amount of pride in the work that you do
  • Ability to work independently

Work Environment: Over 90% of the employee’s time will be spent working in a construction environment on residential housing developments. The employee will be exposed to a variety of weather conditions common to the local climate. The employee will be required to wear protective headgear, eyewear, ear protection and other personal protective equipment as project conditions warrant.
